Farina di Neccio della Garfagnana DOP pancakes
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 500 g of Farina di Neccio della Garfagnana DOP
- 1 lt. of water
- 1 pinch of salt
- lard or oilseed
- fresh ricotta or marmalade
From the mountains of the Tuscan Appennino in Central Italy (Lucca, Toscana), a simple dessert to treat kids and adults.
- Pour flour, salt and water in a bowl.
- Whip the ingredients until you have a soft, smooth batter.
- Let it rest for 1 hour.
- Put the lard or the oil in a pan.
- Put on medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Pour the batter in the pan with a ladle.
- Brown on both sides.
- Serve hot alongside ricotta cheese or marmalade.
